Meet Alexandre Cavillon, owner of the wine cellar Le 40

Change of course: from restaurant to wine cellar

Alexandre Cavillon, a restaurateur by trade, opened his first restaurant in 2017. With a unique vision in mind, he had set up a cellar space, offering his customers the opportunity to bring their own bottles for a cap fee, in order to create tailor-made food and wine agreements. But in 2023, with the desire to breathe new life into his career, Alexandre decided to turn the page. He put his restaurant up for sale and chose to devote himself fully to a project that was close to his heart: the opening of his own wine cellar, Le 40. This change of direction has allowed the company to become even closer to its customers, offering them a friendly and authentic tasting experience dedicated to the pleasures of wine.

Alexandre’s wine cellar is much more than a simple place of sale: it is the culmination of his desire to sublimate quality wines and share moments around tastings on site. By creating this space, Alexandre has given life to his dream of a warm and welcoming place, where after-works and events bring together amateurs and curious in a friendly atmosphere.

Le Bar Le 40 enjoys an optimal location, nestled in the heart of a new commercial area surrounded by brand new housing. This booming neighbourhood offers a promising potential for Alexandre to pass through, guaranteeing the cellar a valuable visibility. Here, Alexandre knows that he can attract both wine lovers and curious passing, ready to discover this unique place.
